FNH USA to sponsor 2013 MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup

Columbia, Missouri - Knocking down plates with blazing speed, competitors in this year's MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup will battle it out at the Falling Plate Event thanks to a $15,000 pledge by FNH USA. Held in Columbia, Missouri from May 22 through 25, the Bianchi Cup is the richest and most prestigious pistol championship in the world.

"FNH USA is proud to sponsor the premier handgun event of the year," said FNH USA Senior VP of Operations Ken Pfau, who will compete in the tournament. "The Bianchi Cup attracts the best shooters in the world and they continually push the limits of product capabilities and design."

The Olin C. Barjenbruch Falling Plate Event is one of four stages that comprise the Bianchi Cup. Over two separate rounds, competitors fire on six 8" steel targets from ten, fifteen, twenty and twenty-five yards in six, seven, eight and nine seconds respectively. The fastest shooter to drop all forty-eight targets wins.

"The NRA is pleased to welcome FNH USA as a major sponsor of the 2013 MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup," said Dennis Willing, Director of NRA's Competitive Shooting Division. "Their generous support and dedication to our championships is greatly appreciated."

Founded in 1979 by former police officer and holster maker John Bianchi, the MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup is a dynamic competition that tests a shooter's speed and accuracy.
