GREELEY, CO - Steiner's tactical shooting team braved cold, wet and windy conditions the first two days of the 2013 Sniper's Hide Cup, but were able to post a top 25 finish and top Female Shooter for the match. Held in Douglas, WY, on May 23-25, the 15-stage/5 complex event included both pistol and rifle target engagements. Each stage was worth up to 10 points with a maximum overall possible score of 150 points.
The Steiner team member Dorgan Trostel finished 16th in a field of 119 shooters, while Jessie Dussart earned the top Female Shooter proving she can hold her own in a field dominated by guys. The rest of the Steiner team Sky Leighton, Gary Dean and R.J. Dussart finished strong over the final two days.
The Sniper's Hide Cup is a test of practical pistol and field rifle shooting skills. The match combines long-range marksmanship skills with the ability to find targets, estimate wind and range with the physical challenge of negotiating rugged terrain and trails.
