'Ballistic's Best' names the best of the best in the firearm industry and is available on newsstands now!
Nashville, TN — The premier edition of “Ballistic’s Best” is a large-format, 140-page beast of a book packed with more than 70 of only the best new guns across nine firearms categories. For guns to be recognized and awarded in “Ballistic’s Best” magazine, they had to meet the demanding criteria and testing protocols of our core staff of content creators who specialize in different shooting platforms—concealed carry handguns, semi-auto, bolt- and pump-action rifles and shotguns, precision rifles and more. “Ballistic’s Best” also dovetailed with BallisticMag.com's digital audience. Thousands voted on what guns have earned the right to be a part of the celebration of firepower that fits to print!
Ballistic’s staff and experts had specific criteria to judge every nominee and pick a winner. The selection set included more than 80 nominees in nine categories. A total of 33 winners were recognized in “Ballistic’s Best” based upon meeting the demanding criteria and testing protocols of Ballistic’s content creators and leading firearms experts. Additionally, our audience participated in selecting winners for Ballistic’s Best Reader’s Choice awards. Readers, like our experts, picked their favorites within the same group our experts rated.
A few brands were definitely best in show and went home with full arms from the first ever Ballistic’s Best Award Celebration held May 4th at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, Texas, during the 2018 NRA Annual Meetings. Both Sig Sauer and Smith & Wesson took home three winner trophies and three finalist medals. Henry, Mossberg, Nighthawk and Ruger all scored double winner trophies. Check out Ballistic’s Best on newsstands now too see how they scored.
