The Spirit of Blue Foundation announced that it has awarded the Trooper Joseph Cameron Ponder Memorial Safety Grant to the Kentucky State Police Foundation to outfit all 1,000 troopers and officers of the Kentucky State Police with lifesaving tourniquets inside of rugged duty belt cases.

Smith & Wesson Corp. announced that it has presented Honored American Veterans Afield  with a donation of $30,000 to help fund HAVA-sanctioned hunting and shooting activities for disabled veterans and injured active military personnel.  Jan Mladek, General Manager of Smith & Wesson and M&P Brands, presented the donation to Tom Taylor, Chairman of HAVA at the 2018 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Dallas, TX.

The owners and employees at Apex Tactical Specialties gathered to celebrate raising $100,000 for Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) through the sale of the company’s Thin Blue Line Series of triggers. Joining Apex were Lauren Crisman, director of development for C.O.P.S., six local survivors who lost family members in the line of duty, and representatives from the Peoria Police Department.

The Sheepdog Survival Fund helps provide law enforcement, military, and other first responders obtain the best training and gear free of cost in order to successfully complete their missions.

The Spirit of Blue Foundation reported that it has received a $50,000 cash donation from the National Board of Law Enforcement United. The gift was presented to the Spirit of Blue at LEU's 8th Annual Road to Hope Memorial Ride arrival ceremony held this year at the World War II Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC on May 12, 2017.
