Being a part of the Junior Rifle Camp program not only positively supports junior campers and coaches but may also be beneficial to the careers of counselors who lead instruction.

The Civilian Marksmanship Program is delighted to again award exemplary student-athletes for the 2017-2018 school year in their future endeavors through its annual scholarship program. The CMP offers $1,000 one-year scholarships based on merit and rifle or pistol marksmanship participation to current high school seniors only.

Larry and Brenda Potterfield recently attended the 2016 Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) National Championships in Marengo, Ohio. This year's National Championships, held at the Cardinal Shooting Center, had approximately 3,000 competitors and was attended by nearly 10,000 coaches, parents, grandparents, siblings, and other spectators.

As part of an annual program that encourages youth participation in the shooting sports, the National Shooting Sports Foundation is once again partnering with Boy Scouts of America Councils. Through this partnership, BSA Councils can receive a portion of $100,000 in grant funds provided by NSSF to develop or expand their troop activities in target shooting and marksmanship.

RCBS attended the Palma High Power Shooting Match at Sacramento Valley Shooting Center last month to welcome some of the top domestic and international competitive shooters, and to support the California Grizzlies Jr. Shooting Team, which it sponsors. The Grizzlies are one of the top junior teams in the nation, with members from all across California.
