The Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute®, Inc., (SAAMI®) has added a new informational video section to its website, SAAMI.org, for the benefit of its members and other interested viewers.
Brian Osowiecki, SAAMI’s Director of Regulatory Affairs, and Alan Serven, SAAMI’s Senior Director of Technical Affairs, are the hosts of the first two featured videos. Additional videos will be added as SAAMI technical staff draws on its expertise to answer industry and consumer questions about firearms, ammunition, interchangeability, natural disaster responses involving firearms and ammunition, and general information about SAAMI and its activities, among other topics.
The first two video titles are “What is SAAMI? A History and Overview of the Standard-Setting Organization for Firearms and Ammunition” and “Is it Safe to Shoot 5.56 NATO in a 223 Remington? SAAMI Sets the Record Straight on Cartridge Interchangeability.”
SAAMI welcomes suggestions for other video topics and invites viewers to submit their ideas via the “Contact Us” link on the website.
