Armasight Announces Increased Recoil Rating for Collector and Jockey Thermal Products

Northbrook, IL – Armasight, a leader in thermal and night vision technology, is excited to announce an important enhancement to its popular Collector 640/320 Thermal Weapon Sights (TWS) and Jockey 640/320 Thermal Clip-On (TCO) devices. Both product lines are now certified to handle the recoil of calibers up to .308 Winchester, offering greater versatility and durability for hunters, tactical professionals, and long-range shooting enthusiasts alike.

This upgrade comes after extensive internal lab testing and rigorous field evaluations conducted by a network of professional shooters. The Collector and Jockey series have proven to maintain their top-tier performance and reliability even when subjected to the long-term recoil impulses of larger calibers, including .308 Winchester, 300 Blackout, .22-250, .243, and 6.5 Creedmoor.

“The initial recoil rating of 5.56mm allowed us to thoroughly test the Collector and Jockey in real-world conditions with larger calibers,” said Steve Lemenov, Director of Marketing at Armasight. “After a year and a half of detailed testing, we’re thrilled to officially increase the recoil rating for these two popular product lines. This boost instills further confidence for our customers who rely on Armasight gear in the field, especially when using larger calibers.”

Built for Performance, Proven in the Field

At Armasight, we understand that hunters, law enforcement, and military personnel demand equipment that performs flawlessly in the most demanding environments. That’s why we focus on continuous innovation and rigorous testing to deliver products that exceed expectations.

Both the Collector and Jockey thermal optics were designed with user feedback in mind, especially from those who require reliable performance in challenging tactical scenarios. By upgrading the recoil rating to .308 Winchester, Armasight continues to push the boundaries of what thermal optics can achieve in terms of durability and adaptability.

Confidence for All Users

This updated recoil rating applies not just to new units but also to all Collector 640/320 and Jockey 640/320 units already in the field. Existing users can now enjoy an expanded range of use, knowing that their thermal optics will stand up to more powerful calibers without compromising performance or reliability.

Always Innovating for Our Customers

Armasight remains committed to pushing the limits of thermal imaging technology. Whether you’re a hunter pursuing elusive game or a professional engaged in tactical operations, the Collector and Jockey product lines offer you best-in-class performance, now with even greater recoil tolerance. This upgrade reflects Armasight’s continued dedication to providing gear that keeps you safe, confident, and effective in the field.
