Tree Stand Safety Awareness Foundation Partners with S3DA to Educate Youth

Williamsburg, KY – The Tree Stand Safety Awareness Foundation (TSSA) is a non-profit organization that focuses on tree stand safety and ensures that every hunter that uses a tree stand does so in a safe manner so that he or she comes home safe to their family and friends. The mission of the Tree Stand Safety Awareness Foundation is to significantly reduce tree stand incidents through promotion, education, and best practices.

As September was Tree Stand Safety Awareness Month, TSSA and S3DA teamed up to provide S3DA youth members with an educational quiz on the importance of Tree Stand Safety. Additionally, youth members could submit photos for a Tree Stand Photo contest. Every youth member who completed the quiz or submitted photos was entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Hunter Safety System harness and lifeline, or a Realtree EZ Hanger Combo Set.

The lucky winners announced were:

  • Clint Zimmerman – Reading Archery Club, Pennsylvania
  • Lilly Sweitzer – York-Hopewell Archers, Pennsylvania
  • Liam Heideman – Winneconne Youth Archery, Wisconsin
  • Jayden Goosman – Big Reds Archery, West Virginia

S3DA National Conservation Coordinator, Patty Reel said, “We are thrilled to collaborate with the Tree Stand Safety Awareness Foundation (TSSA). The TSSA Foundation’s expertise in tree stand safety education is invaluable. Their platform provides essential knowledge and resources that help prevent accidents and promote best practices. This partnership not only enhances the safety and well-being of our members but also strengthens our commitment to conservation and responsible outdoor practices. Together, we can create a safer and more sustainable future for the archery community.

Hunters and members of the industry alike can help spread the message of the TSSA Foundation. Visit the TSSA website at www.treestandsafety.org or visit www.facebook.com/TreeStandSafetyAwareness.
