Advanced Training with Jim Markowski

JIM MARKOWSKI, D/B/A Advanced Tactics & Firearms, respectfully wishes to announce tactical and live fire training courses that will be offered to the law enforcement community across the United States. He is a retired Special Agent of 33 years with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF), where he served as Division Tactical Advisor - Boston Field Division, and member of ATF's Special Response Team (SRT) for 15 years. His distinguished ATF career consisted of numerous real world "street agent" experiences including extensive undercover operations; SRT operator and Entry Team Leader missions; as well as providing tactical and firearms training for SRT members, street agents, and task force officers. He has served as an advisor on high-risk enforcement operations, where his responsibilities included tactical supervision, contingency planning and risk management. He has trained federal, state and local law enforcement officers across the United States and internationally in both firearms and tactics.

Subsequent to retiring from ATF, Jim served OCONUS as one of the original 20 instructor cadre of tactical/firearms instructors contracted by the United States Departments of Defense and State, to train the newly formed Iraqi National Police SWAT teams. After returning from the Middle East, he served as the Security Manager at Colt Defense, LLC and then as Director of Law Enforcement Sales & Training, where he served as the lead firearms and tactical trainer for the company. He recently left that position and is devoting his full-time efforts to ADVANCED TACTICS & FIREARMS.

Jim also serves as an adjunct Instructor of Criminal Justice at Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA. He has developed an original graduate-level course entitled "

Operational Planning for Law Enforcement", covering topics such as arrests, search warrants, undercover, surveillance, and multi-agency enforcement operations, as well as the legal and constitutional issues involved.

JERRY GALLO will serve as the Assistant Instructor on all tactical and live fire courses for ADVANCED TACTICS & FIREARMS, when available. He is a retired Special Agent of 34 years with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF), where he served as Firearms Instructor Coordinator - Boston Field Division, and member of ATF's Special Response Team (SRT) for 15 years. He also served as the Boston Field Division's Violent Crime Coordinator. He had a distinguished and productive career.

ADVANCED TACTICS & FIREARMS training courses are designed to provide attendees the defensive and tactical edge in an armed encounter scenario. All instructors are experienced real world operators with law enforcement (SWAT) and military (Special Ops) backgrounds. All training is designed to provide law enforcement officers the tactical edge in enforcement operations. UNDERCOVER INVESTIGATIONS

William "Billy" Queen, retired ATF Special Agent and SRT member, Los Angeles Field Division, is available for a four hour presentation regarding his successful infiltration into the MONGOLS Outlaw Motorcycle Club. Billy has authored a book titled "UNDER AND ALONE" regarding that undercover investigation.

Ken King, retired ATF Special Agent and SRT member, New Orleans Field Division, is available for a four hour presentation regarding ATF's execution of a federal search warrant at the Branch Davidian Compound in Waco, Texas that occurred on February 28,1993. The presentation will also include a segment on the psyche of winning - mental and physical preparation for surviving an armed confrontation.
