SureFire, LLC located in Fountain Valley, CA, is looking for a Public Relations Specialist to maintain the day-to-day media relations, social media outreach, and donation/sponsorship programs at SureFire. The position works closely with all departments in ensuring brand continuity through all corporate communications, events, and activities.

An ideal candidate will have a college degree in marketing or communications and a minimum of two years PR experience. Knowledge of shooting, hunting, and/or outdoor trade a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates distribution and pitching of press materials.
- Qualify and fulfill media requests through demo sample and editorial tracking process.
- Provide monthly presentations for internal PR.
- Assess and respond to donation/sponsorship requests.
- Coordinate social media campaigns.
- Assist with crisis communications.
- Create market-specific press collateral for major events and campaigns.
- Plan, coordinate and attend industry events, media events, and trade shows.
- Maintain master contact lists for media and industry personnel.
- Identify and pursue industry awards.
- Plan, coordinate, and attend photo/video shoots.

Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications or Marketing and/or up to 4 years relevant work experience.
- Strong organization, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- 2+ years media relations experience at a PR agency or in a similar role.
- Must be comfortable being on camera and photographed.
- Social media savvy.
- Knowledge of shooting, hunting, and/or outdoor trade a plus.
- Able to work independently with little direction and multi-task, handling various projects at once while being extremely productive and timely to meet tight deadlines.
- Travel approximately 30 % (mostly north america, some international).
