Bend, Ore –   – Nosler, Inc. is now producing the highly anticipated 9mm-147gr Custom Competition® handgun bullet. This new bullet was designed for multiple uses and with feedback from competitive shooters looking for the ultimate projectile with unfailing accuracy and reliable performance.

Nosler’s Custom Competition® bullet jackets are formed around their own ultra-precise, lead alloy cores to create the performance standard for match pistol bullets.

With this new heavy for caliber offering, match shooters can take advantage of using less powder while still meeting required power factor levels. Less powder also means less recoil for faster target re-acquisition when every fraction of a second matters. In addition, using less powder allows shooters to safely load to subsonic velocities and also reduces muzzle flash in low-light situations.

Suppressor owners will also benefit from the new 147gr offering, delivering accurate subsonic performance. From suppressed pistols to 9mm pistol-caliber carbines, reduced sound signature and the reduced recoil make the experience for first-time shooters even more enjoyable.

The new 9mm-147gr Custom Competition® bullet is also ideal for law enforcement or personal protection because it was designed with a tapered skived jacket for consistent penetration and expansion. With an impact velocity of 1050fps, the 9mm-147gr Custom Competition bullet penetrated 12” into ballistics gelatin and retained 99% of the original bullet weight.

All Nosler bullets are made on dedicated machinery and production lots are never mixed for ultimate consistency.
