New: UTG PRO USA Made 15" Free Float Ultra Slim Handguard with Titanium or Steel Barrel Nut

UTG PRO'S Super Slim handguards have been a great success and well received due in part for having a durable and lightweight design within a reasonable price point for the consumer. UTG PRO has now released yet another free float handguard which builds upon that success, but with a new look, feel, and function. They call it the Ultra Slim and it is one of the lightest aluminum 15" handguards on the market.

By removing excess material, particularly a large portion of the top Picatinny rail, as well as, some additional lightening cuts in key areas, UTG PRO has essentially made a handguard that weighs in at just 10 ounces installed if purchasing the Titanium barrel nut version. Titanium you say? Yes, one SKU, MTU019SSM3T, designates the Ultra Slim handguard that comes with UTG PRO’s proprietary two-piece titanium barrel nut. Whereas, the MTU019SSM3 SKU designates the inclusion of their standard two-piece steel barren nut, the same barrel nut from their Super Slim series, and weighs in at 11.5 ounces.

The Ultra Slim handguard has a minimalist and weight saving top Picatinny rail with recessed lightening cuts and features only 6 Picatinny slots, 3 slots towards the rear of the rail just in front of the receiver and the other 3 at the front towards the muzzle. The Ultra Slim has M-LOK® slots at the 3, 6, and 9 O’clock positions only, which differs from their Super Slim lineup and instead incorporates additional lightening cuts in replace of where M-LOK® previously were machined, making the handguard’s name really speak for itself. A uniquely knurled surface can be found on the left and right sides of the handguard providing an aesthetically pleasing new look while providing added grip traction.

These handguards retain the same well received octagonal profile, grooved surface, and integral rotation tabs seen on the Super Slim series, but unlike previous series, are designed to be compatible with left or right side ejecting AR15s, so South Paws you are in luck. Precision machined from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum and finished in a matte black hard coat, the Ultra Slim handguards include 2 M-LOK® accessories, an 8-slot picatinny rail section and a QD sling swivel adaptor, and are made in Michigan.
