Chiappa Introduces the 92 Wildlands Field Lever-Action Rifle in .44 Remington Magnum

Chiappa Firearms expands its Wildlands rifle lineup with the 92 Wildlands Field, a lever-action rifle built around the proven 1892-style system and chambered in .44 Remington Magnum. Developed with practical hunting and field work in mind, the rifle maintains the familiar handling lever-gun shooters expect while incorporating a few purposeful updates that improve adaptability without straying from the platform's traditional identity. The result is a rifle that remains unmistakably rooted in lever-action heritage while reflecting how many shooters actually use these rifles today.

The Wildlands Field operates through the 1892-pattern lever-action mechanism, a compact and durable system known for smooth cycling with revolver cartridges. In this configuration, the action feeds from a tubular magazine holding 8+1 rounds, providing straightforward operation and reliable follow-up capability in the field. Chiappa pairs the action with a 16.5-inch round barrel threaded 5/8×24, creating a compact profile that remains easy to maneuver in dense cover while preserving the performance expected from the .44 Magnum cartridge.

Sight equipment reflects the rifle's intended role in hunting environments. The Wildlands Field is equipped with a Skinner Picatinny rail with a peep rear sight, paired with a red fiber-optic front sight, to provide a clear, highly visible sight picture in changing light conditions. The Picatinny interface also allows shooters to mount optics if desired, offering flexibility without altering the rifle's traditional sighting system.

A distinctive feature of the rifle is the checkered walnut forend, which incorporates three M-LOK interfaces along the sides and underside. This arrangement allows the addition of accessories such as bipods or other field equipment while maintaining the slim profile expected of a lever rifle. The forearm features a tapered diamond profile that improves grip placement and control while preserving the classic look of walnut furniture. The rifle continues that theme with a walnut pistol-grip stock and rubber buttplate, while a half-cock hammer safety maintains the familiar operating system lever-action shooters rely on. With a steel receiver finished in black and an overall length of 35 inches, the Wildlands Field maintains the clean, practical appearance of a working hunting rifle.

Manufactured in Italy, the 92 Wildlands Field continues Chiappa's approach of refining classic lever-action platforms with thoughtful updates that support modern field use while preserving the character that has made the 1892 design endure.
