Springfield Armory® is proud to announce it has received the National Rifle Association's American Rifleman Tactical Product of the Year Golden Bullseye Award for the Kuna 9mm. It was presented at the 2026 Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Houston, Texas.
Now in their 24th year, the NRA Golden Bullseye Awards acknowledge the finest products available in the shooting sports. The winners are selected by a committee of NRA Media staff, representing more than a century of collective experience in the shooting and hunting industry.
"The Springfield Armory Kuna is an outstanding large-format pistol that brings the PDW concept to the masses," said Ed Friedman, Editor-in-Chief of American Rifleman. "All of the gun's components show calculated design and execution. It's a smooth shooter, and the excellent trigger helps it provide outstanding accuracy for the platform. Beyond that, it's incredibly fun to shoot!"
Developed in partnership with HS Produkt, the roller-delayed Kuna 9mm is a precision-manufactured PDW-style pistol designed for optimal fit and function. Its small profile, nimble handling and prolific capacity make it a fierce personal defense platform. Named after the European Pine Marten (known in Croatia as the "Kuna"), the firearm represents the pinnacle of the companies' shared mission and values.
Offered with an optional Strike Industries FSA folding brace, the fully ambidextrous Kuna 9mm pistol employs a rugged monolithic aluminum upper, a cold radial hammer forged 6" barrel, and translucent 30-round magazines that feature metal feed lips for exceptional durability. In addition, the Kuna features an AR-pattern pistol grip with Adaptive Grip Texture. Rounding out the package is a set of unique adjustable hybrid flip-up metal sights. MSRP for the Kuna starts at $1,179, with the folding brace model priced at $1,330.
"Springfield Armory is extremely proud to have received such an esteemed award from NRA's American Rifleman," said Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Armory. "The Kuna 9mm has deservedly taken the firearms market by storm since its launch, and this award shows that the experts at the NRA's American Rifleman agree."
