Ammunition Depot, one of the largest online retailers and suppliers of ammunition in the United States, today announced the launch of AmmoVault, a new ammunition reserve and storage service that lets shooters purchase ammunition over time, have it securely stored and request shipment when they are ready.
Periodic demand surges can quickly tighten ammunition availability, reduce selection and push prices higher. AmmoVault gives shooters a way to build a real ammunition reserve during normal market conditions, so they are not starting from zero when demand spikes.
Customers can open a free AmmoVault account, choose what they shoot, set a budget and purchase schedule and begin with as little as $5. They can build their reserve automatically through a recurring subscription or add ammunition through one-time purchases whenever they choose.
Each successful AmmoVault purchase buys real ammunition — not points, not store credit, not an IOU. Once allocated, the ammunition is reserved for the customer's Vault, fully insured against damage or theft and stored alongside Ammunition Depot's retail inventory in a secure, climate- and humidity-controlled facility. AmmoVault's 100% In-Stock Storage Guarantee means ammunition shown as available in a customer's Vault is physically in stock and reserved for that customer.
"The worst time to start looking for ammunition is when everyone else is," said Dan Wolgin, CEO of Ammunition Depot. "AmmoVault gives customers a practical way to build a reserve at their own pace during normal market conditions. They control the ammo, budget and schedule and every successful purchase adds real inventory reserved for their Vault."
More Ammo, Fewer Fees
AmmoVault was designed so the customer's budget goes toward ammunition rather than membership and storage charges.
The service includes:
● No membership fee
● No separate storage fee for active accounts
● Recurring subscriptions or one-time purchases
● Plans starting at $5
● The ability to adjust, pause or cancel a subscription
● Secure, climate-controlled and insured storage
● Shipment requests whenever the customer is ready
AmmoVault customers pay for their ammunition when it is purchased. There are no added AmmoVault membership or storage charges for active accounts. At launch, qualifying Vault shipments of $199 or more ship free.
Backed by Ammunition Depot's Scale and Experience
Choosing the right company matters because an ammunition-reserve service depends on more than an account dashboard. Customers must be able to trust that their ammunition comes from established manufacturers, is real, properly stored, accurately tracked and ready to be shipped when needed.
Ammunition Depot has processed more than 2 billion rounds of ammunition and has more than 15 years of experience serving shooters nationwide. Its established manufacturer relationships, broad inventory access, experienced warehouse and fulfillment teams, state-by-state compliance capabilities and customer-service infrastructure provide the operational foundation needed to store and deliver customers' ammunition for the long haul.
"Building the website is the easy part. The hard part is sourcing ammunition at scale, storing it correctly, maintaining accurate customer-level inventory and delivering it when the customer needs it," said Seth Weinstein, Founder and Managing Partner of Ammunition Depot. "Ammunition Depot has spent 15 years building that infrastructure. AmmoVault gives customers the benefit of that experience from day one."
Built for Shooters Who Plan Ahead
AmmoVault is designed for shooters who want to build a reserve gradually, including customers preparing for changing market conditions, households with limited ammunition storage space and firearm owners who prefer to spread purchases across a manageable budget.
AmmoVault is not intended to replace Ammunition Depot's traditional online store. Customers who need ammunition shipped immediately should continue to purchase directly through Ammunition Depot. AmmoVault is for customers who want to build a stored reserve over time and request delivery later.
AmmoVault is not a subscription box. Customers are not automatically sent a surprise selection of ammunition each month. A subscription purchases ammunition for the customer's Vault according to the ammo group, budget and schedule they select. The ammunition remains securely stored until the customer requests shipment.
